I chose Smartwater as my client for a class assignment due to its unique selling point. Smartwater is vapor distilled unlike most bottled water, which is spring water. I therefore created a “heavenly” campaign based on the higher quality vapor (or cloud) source, with the tag line: “Drink from the clouds.”
For this assignment I created three subway poster ads for The Boston Phoenix Newspaper. The paper is an alternative youth-oriented publication. I chose to make personal ads where people are looking for the publication. I successfully outlined the personality of the publication while adding a visual representation of their colorful reader.
An assignment was given to the class to make-up a local bar or restaurant and create two possible avenues for a print campaign. I therefore created Pickup Stix, a unique concept for a bar that it is open from 9 PM to 5 AM. Besides their unusual hours of operation, the name “Pickup Stix” is playful enough to generate multiple campaigns relating to singles and bar-goers.
Franzia is a boxed- wine and a 100 year-old-company with a surprisingly young group of loyalists. In order to keep their consumer base and increase brand awareness I re-branded Franzia making it the slick and relatable party beverage. I created two sharp and modern looking print ads and used college humor to attract the correct target audience.
